Right now is a pretty great time in my sister’s life. She happy, smart, productive, blossoming, growing, learning and loving. I’m honored to be able to freeze these moments in her journey. Right now she has a great guy that makes her smile {thank you!!} and she spends her hours with one foot in high school and the other at college. She’s taking courses ahead of her years, no surprise, and excelling. She’s headed toward her high school senior year as a lifeguard, marching band field commander, and part time college student again. Her big sister couldn’t be more shamelessly proud.

We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. {Japanese Proverb}

p.s. just so you all know, going in with your friends for a limo to prom/homecoming is SO cliche. all the trendsetters are going in on custom photo sessions. just sayin.

i have a feeling i’ve missed out on alot, not meeting Lawana until now. she came thru the website with a great idea- to celebrate her birthday with a photo session with her nearest and dearest. i happily obliged and was blessed to spend a frosty morning meeting her charming son, glowing sister and best friends.

he really impressed me as a mature little man who does a good job of taking care of his mama.

quite the gentleman indeed. it was my pleasure to shoot the little ham, and get him out of his morning classes at school

next up was Lawana with her girls. i always love witnessing the energy that a bonded group like this shares.

and i love having them tell me embarassing childhood stories about the guest of honor

such a gracious host to give each of the ladies their own time in the spotlight. especially after they brought up those old jeans and the skating rink LOL

hard to believe it’s been a year since i did noah’s newborn pics. this time, he brought along his whole family for me to meet. i was amazed at how much they all look alike!his papaw is part of the band denim road. how cool to have a papaw that gives you private concerts!we had a lot of fun checking out the pumpkins and corn maze and petting zoo but the most exciting for me was tempal catching this wild animal. i was just happy i didn’t see the mouse that was hiding with it. you guys know i DON’T DO MICE right??!happy birthday sweet one year old noah boy. you are lucky to have so much lovin’.

we spent the holiday with a bunch of friends at the purple boulder farm in morrow. it was the perfect opportunity to debut BDphotography’s newest offering- The Phunbooth

Terra and the City {{ cincinnati dayton wedding photographer }}

Terra is a beautiful girl, obviously adored by a great group of friends and a very lucky man. This weekend Terra will marry the love of her life {!} but the weekend I had the pleasure to share with her will undoubtedly rank right up there in the memories. Her friends created the ultimate bachelorette day out for her. Their Sex and the City themed celebration included professional make-up, brunch, sushi for those of us brave enough , massages, tearing up a downtown photoshoot, fancy dinner and drinks, a limo and after party. I’m not even sure if that’s the comprehensive list, but those are the things I witnessed or caught wind of Everything was done right. Terra was spoiled, and all the girls are crawling over each other to be the next one married off- both for the happily ever after, but also for the “all about me” day! that’s not to say that they didn’t each get a quick hop into the spotlight during the shoot though. seemed that everyone was ready for their closeup. we had a blast.a little stop at Tiffany’s was a must of course. it only takes a few minutes with these girls to see what an awesome relationship they have together. it’s the kind of clique you would love to be adopted into. thanks for letting me feel like an honorary member for a day… and thank you for ALL the excited feedback you gave me. you are SO sweet and now I’m anxiously awaiting the next big celebration you guys have so i have an excuse to create a sequel to our Sex and the City session:)
